Part of the event

For Grace tells the story of one of America’s most renowned chefs, Curtis Duffy and everything he had to give up in order to fulfil his dream of opening a fine dining restaurant in Chicago. The film is an honest narrative about family, food and the unbending sacrifice of a troubled teenager’s journey to the top.

Created by Chicago filmmakers Kevin Pang and Mark Helenowski over a four-year period, the film follows the making of Duffy’s Michelin Star restaurant, Grace. The camera uncovers every step of the restaurant’s development, from building to opening night, and all the blood, sweat and tears inbetween. For Grace exposes the truth behind working in luxury dining.
