A Good Man is the story of acclaimed director/choreographer Bill T. Jones as he and his company create their most ambitious work, an original dance-theatre piece in honour of Abraham Lincoln's Bicentennial. The viewer gets a raw insight into Jones’s frustration as he battles to communicate his vision for the piece with his dancers and collaborators, as well as “moments of great exhilaration when movement transcends the limitation of words”. The result is a moving and exhilarating documentary exploring what it means to be a good man, to be free and to be a citizen.
