Royal College of Art graduate Thomas Thwaites investigates how one would go about making a toaster from scratch.

In questioning the industrial design process, Royal College of Art graduate Thomas Thwaites took apart a toaster to discover that it consists of about 100 different parts. In his Toaster Project he explored the re-making of a toaster, starting with mining for the iron ore and making his own plastic.
