This quick synopsis of Design Indaba 2009 celebrates its slogan – a better world through creativity. This year, the Design Indaba Conference attracted more than 2 100 delegates with over 30 top creative international thinkers speaking. Design Indaba Expo, the largest multi-disciplinary showcase of South African creativity, saw the over 260 exhibitors entertain more than 29 000 visitors – a 35% increase in turnout. Pecha Kucha events, fashion shows, the SOUTH project and the Cape Town Design Route added to the diversity on the floor.
