Combining two youth culture essentials, music and T-shirts, the new Hruki T-shirt range has become an immediate South African hit. A collaboration between illustrator MaryAn Hampton and her brother, Dan, the pair are inspired by the famous Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. By creating T-shirts for a range of independent local bands, the T-shirts have found national appeal and distribution from the pair’s home base of Amanzimtoti.
