SA young design entrepreneur

Given Nkuna will represent South Africa at the British Council 2009 International Young Design Entrepreneur (IYDE) of the Year Award Finals.


Given Nkuna will represent South Africa at the British Council 2009 International Young Design Entrepreneur (IYDE) of the Year Award Finals in the UK. From Mpumalanga, Nkuna will now take his craft design skill to London, Glasgow and Belfast and showcase to the world what South Africa has to offer. Judges remarked that Nkuna has a very strong social and creative edge to both his work and the products he produces, and that he has an admirable passion evidenced by his involvement in craft and recycling projects. Previous South African finalists include Y Tsai and Heath Nash.

Heath Nash

Heath Nash holds a BA in Fine Art (sculpture) from the University of Cape Town. He was the Elle Decoration SA designer and lighting designer of the year in 2005/6, and also won the title of British Council South African Creative Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.
