Order to print

Silicone, chocolate, cheese and concrete are just some of the materials the Imagine 3D printer can use to print shapes.

The recently launched Imagine 3D Printer is believed to be more versatile than most 3D printers currently on the market.

Designed by Essential Dynamics and launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Imagine uses syringes and thus offers a different way of printing in three dimensions.

The design of the Imagine is such that it allows any material that can be extruded from the syringe, to be printed. This makes it possible for materials like silicone, epoxy, cheese, chocolate and concrete to be printed into shapes.

The makers envision the Imagine as a user-friendly, desktop machine that comes fully-assembled and ready to print.

Together with Imagine, Essential Dynamics has launched the community and design website www.mongasso.com. Here users are invited to submit a profile and upload and share designs with the community.
