Lounging around

Posted on July 5th 2010

Jaime Hayon's new lounger is classic and comfortable, with a funky edge.

Spanish designer Jaime Hayon and Barcelona Design have teamed up to add a funky and colourful twist to the classic lounger.

While Hayon’s Louger bears some resemblance to The Eames’s mid-century design, Hayon has definitely succeeded in firmly placing his unique design stamp on this creation.

The Lounger is both elegant and comfortable, representing Hayon’s whimsical translation of the classics. It’s available in a variety of mono-colours and comes with an optional footrest.

Jaime Hayón

Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayón was born in Madrid in 1974. As a teenager, he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art, which has formed the foundation of the detailed, bold-yet-whimsical imagery so imminent in his work today.
