Using Soshanguve FABlab, the design team at Readymade are prototyping The Nest fruit bowl for an income-generation venture.

Using professor Neil Gershenfeld’s FABlab in Soshanguve, South Africa, Fabrication Africa are producing a range of home accessories that contrasts the vibrant, raw beauty of Africa with the precision and purity of contemporary design. The award-winning design team at Readymade designed the first product, The Nest fruit bowl. Each one is made by laser and then assembled by hand. Currently the product is being prototyped for feasibility before being offered to a local charity as an income-generation venture.
