Astrid Sulger transforms Nguni cow horn into a collection of sophisticated necklaces, rings, and bracelets.

Maputo-based jewellery designer Astrid Sulger is a familiar presence at several abattoirs in Mozambique. That’s because she is constantly searching for horn from the Nguni cow, which she transforms into a collection of sophisticated necklaces, rings and bracelets. Available in a range of striking colours and patterns, each horn is carefully chosen and worked to maximise its unique qualities. The result is a collection that combines nature, design and hand craftsmanship.
