Nicolas Roope, co-founder of electronics company Hulger, makes a good point when he says: “It’s strange that the bulb, an object so synonymous with ideas, is almost entirely absent of imagination.”

And that’s why the Plumen is coming to the creative rescue of low energy light bulbs. Developed in collaboration with designer Sam Wilkinson, the Plumen not only looks cool but it also uses 80% less energy and lasts eight times longer than incandescent bulbs.

So now there is no need for light bulbs to hide under various lamp shaded and mass-produced bulb covers. The Plumen is an artwork unto itself and a fitting tribute to its name derivative, “plume”. Referring to a bird’s decorative feathers, the Plumen has been designed to draw attention to its prowess and beauty.
