In celebration of the Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town’s 15-year anniversary, each member of the staff from MD to tea lady was asked to express their hopes and dreams for 2009 on a blank canvas. The outcome was an impressive array of artworks that reflected not only the aspirations of staff members, but also tapped into previously unknown talents. R10 000 was raised from the sale of the artworks and proceeds went to South African Mobile Libraries Association (SAMLA) who run a mobile children’s library in Gugulethu.
