Boldly bejewelled

South African jewellery brand Pichulik has unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection inspired by 70s glamour and powerful women.

Katherine Mary Pichulik started her jewellery brand in 2012 and in the almost two years since she has had a meteoric rise to international fame. Her ranges are stocked in 16 high-end boutiques across the global, celebrities like the Williams sisters and Solange Knowles wear her jewellery, and her pieces regular grace the pages, and covers, of leading fashion magazines.

She has just unveiled her Autumn/Winter 2014 collection that is inspired by the icon photography of Helmut Newton and his intimate portraits of powerful women in their own personal spaces.

"With a cinematic approach to portraying these classic 70s heroines we imagine nights of disco dancing and clubhouse parties. Garden kisses and a late night rendezvous in his Aston Martin listening to Jimmy croon’s La Woman," says Pichulik.

With jewel tones and wooden elements, suede and agate stones as well as tassles this collection skirts the glamour of 70s disco and the soul of psychedelia.
