Contemporary design meets ecological thinking in woodenstate. Proposing an alternative to the use of unsustainable hardwood timber in the furniture industry, architect Thomas Leach presents the first of a series of rustic, yet clean-lined and robust products that express their natural materiality and are produced exclusively from locally sourced alien hardwood timber. Honed to its essence, woodenstate design is stylish and sculptural yet highly functional: folding deck chairs reminiscent of clasped hands, cantilevered shelf units that celebrate the rawness of wood and steel, naturally formed stone vessels or geometric timber vases.
Production Capacity:
Approxinately 100 chairs in an eight-week period, but this capacity can be increased.
