StandardT.w.A.K. (Trees with a conscience) brings you the Forest Debris Project, supplying quirky, unique pieces of African hardwoods that are turned into décor pieces like stools, vases, platters, spoons, bowls and tables. Most of the wood comes from offcuts found at the sawmill, logs that were in fires, or even trees from which honey has been poached. Commercial slabs are cut from allocations that are controlled annually by an international audited reforestation programme.
T.w.A.K. has trained local villagers in woodwork and encourages them to add their own artistic ideas to the designs.
