Based in Hout Bay, sootcookie's quirky ceramic range was created by Tanya Laing, a graduate of the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town.

Deriving its name from the Afrikaans word meaning 'sweet biscuit', sootcookie is a quirky range of ceramic pieces that are 'baked' in a kiln and draw inspiration from South Africa’s diverse visual landscape.
