The range of ceramic ware for the Design Indaba will have a textured linear theme, using techniques of scraffitti, embosing and painted lines. The clay used is white earthenware. Shelley's work revolves around bowls, vessels and containers that hold. Cylinder vessels will have wooden lids. She is working on jug-like vessels that are both decorative and functional. These will be in various sizes. The colour palette is a white body with various shades of red, black and deep green. She is also making a series of functional plates and bowls with scraffitti lines and dots, also with a two colour pallette, i.e white and red or white and black. The range of wall lights are made from a white clay body with the texture of the lines being highlighted by black oxide. Little colour is used. Galvanized steel brackets are supplied for wall mounting. Our work is complimentary with the use of the same textured line work and congruent colours.
