Ujamaa is the brand of a network of artisans in Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique. Their artistic abilities have emerged from the rich cultural diversity evident within this region. Their diverse and exquisite collection of objects include utensils, accessories and symbols, created by hand using silver, wood, clay, fibre and other local materials. Inspired by the local surroundings, and learning through exchanges with other cultures and contexts, artisans from Cabo Delgado show a special capacity to promote a pluralist world through their creations.
