Ikhaya designs and manufactures a selection of unique items, ranging from frames to furniture. Primarily using natural materials, Ikhaya’s designs tend to be simplistic and created by hand, while employing the creative services of local crafters. Many of Ikhaya’s designs are created using plywood and aim to establish a connection with the users while also being affordable. Ikhaya also makes books and different forms of packaging, cards and tags using various recycled materials. Using the beautiful blond wood of fallen Jacaranda trees, Ikhaya creates carvings that make for simple, timeless pieces with a unique personality.
