In addition to being the foremost, multi-sectoral platform for showcasing South African design, Design Indaba Expo also presents a programme loaded with music, comedy, fashion shows and Pecha Kucha presentations. Funny guy Stuart Taylor, star of the hit show "Money’s 2 Tight 2 Mention" will be headlining the comedy offering, together with the comedy doctor Riaad Moosa. Performances not to miss include electro swing band GoodLuck,Vaudeville tap dancers, the Ubuntu B-Boys and the cool sounds of Yoav.

The Pecha Kucha presentations on the Expo floor ensure that inspiration is kept brief and bite-sized. For these talks, each presenter has the opportunity to talk over 20 slides for 20 seconds, giving the listener the full scope of a project or idea in just 6 minutes 40 seconds.
This year’s Pecha Kucha lineup includes urban farmer Matt Allison, street artist Ricky Lee Gordon, the animators behind the famous Cadbury adverts Shy the Sun, and graphic and toy designer Kronk. Also be sure not to miss fashion designer Derek Geddes talking about his work and bicycle enthusiasts Stan Engelbrecht and Nic Grobler talk about their journey for the Bicycle Portraits project.
Ending on a high note, the announcement of the 2012 Most Beautiful Object in South Africa awards will take place on Sunday 4 March at 16:30.
