Designed by Voll Arkitekter AS, the Mjøstårnet tower is known as the world’s tallest timber building since it’s opening in 2019.  The design has received numerous awards from the New York Design Awards, Norwegian Tech Awards and CTBUH’s Award of Excellence.

The Mjøstårnet tower is located in the small town of Brumunddal in Norway and offers a multi purpose space including a hotel, apartments, offices and a restaurant.

“The building was assembled four storeys at a time, with a total of five construction stages. Mjøstårnet was built without external scaffolding. Instead, the project used a large crane and internal scaffolding combined with lifts.”
