Product designers Niels van Eijk and Miriam van der Lubbe have launched a new range of home products called Usuals.
The basic domestic products in the collection are reminiscent of a simpler time. The Dutch duo aim to highlight the pleasure that is to be had in using common household items that have been replaced by more sophisticated products.
Usuals includes vases, scales, lunch boxes, a sewing kit, tea cosies and a foot stove. Take a look at their website to browse the complete collection.
For a long time Van Eijk and Van der Lubbe focused exclusively on applied product design, non-commissioned work, interiors and buildings. The Usuals collection introduces a new direction for the duo where they hope to communicate more directly with the users through their designs.
