Super-sized graphics

Frost* Design's interior design of bright, quirky and oversized graphics for an Australian bank aims to aesthetically engage employees.

From the Series

Bright and bold animations liven up Melbourne Commonwealth Bank’s interior thanks to Frost* Design’s quirky and colourful graphics.

Frost* collaborated with interior designers Davenport Campbell to animate the call centre’s newly refurbished workspace.

The project involved the development of signage and way-finding systems, plus super-sized colourful murals and backdrops. The environmental graphics take inspiration from the city’s iconic architecture, adding a distinctly Melbourne identity to the inner-city office.

Frost* further worked alongside New York illustrator James Gulliver Hancock to establish sub-themes of work, rest and play, telling the everyday stories of the city’s inhabitants with a fantastical twist.

Hidden pockets of quirky details were incorporated at a micro-scale, as a cheeky nod to the city’s laneways where there is always something new to discover.

The interior for Melbourne Commonwealth Bank was designed to engage staff and spark enthusiasm for employees who are often working on intense, monotonous tasks.
