The Summer sideboard by industrial designer Gino Carollo for Italian design house Bonaldo is a bold dash of saffron-yellow sunshine that perks up any room no matter what the weather outside.
Its unusual trapezium shape puts a quirky slant on the pared-down shapes so popular in contemporary furniture design.
The sideboard’s lacquered wood frame sits atop a metal base, elevating its storage compartment into an eye-catching decorative feature. Two drawers are discreetly tucked away and a drop-down cupboard door doubles up as a writing desk.
The Summer sideboard is also available in red, white and anthracite grey for those who get a year-round dose of naturally produced sunshine.
Summer is the latest item to come out of Bonaldo and Carollo’s long-time collaboration.
