1950s chic meets sporty power in Nika Zupanc's latest collection of furniture for Sé on show at Salone del Mobile 2014.

From the Series

Nika Zupanc showcases her instinct for creating visually striking furniture, attention to detail and playfulness in her latest collection for internationally renowned luxury furniture brand

Slovenian product designer Zupanc’s Collection III draws on the aesthetic of 1950s furniture and modernist influences such as restrained elegance and luxury subtly infused with symbols and motifs associated with the power of sport, which is familiar element across her work.

With Collection III, I wanted to blend timeless elegance, sensitivity and tenderness with a splash of smoky, determined and even masculine reality. Working with Sé is a unique opportunity to breathe life into so many different objects all at once. Here is a whole new micro-environment, a scenography which comes to life through an excellence of materials, functionality and forms, says Zupanc.

The materials used in the collection include a selection of the finest woods, metals, marbles and fabrics, while the shapes are dynamic and light. Collection III comprises an armchair, sofa, cabinet and a variety of ceramic pieces.

Collection III is on show for the first time at Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan during the 2014 Salone del Mobile
