Here’s a seating design that could work really well as bench seating system in urban communities. It could work just as well in a gallery, school or suburban garden.
Aram Lello’s Community Bench is an easily adjustable and multi-functional bench that works to encourage social interactions. The design is such that the material options extend to wood, plastic and aluminium.
The Community Bench was Lello’s entry into the Western Cape Furniture Initiative’s Shack Chic seating design competition which called on designers to create seating options prioritising comfort and practicality. Lello’s design, along with the other finalists, were first seen at Design Indaba Expo earlier this year.
