The A' Design Awards and Competition has been established to promote and recognise the best design works across the world in all creative disciplines. The primary aim of the A' Design Award & Competition is to create a global awareness and understanding for good design practices and principles by showcasing the best designs.
Entries are still open in all categories, including industrial design, architecture, product design, communications design, fashion and service design. The closing date for entries has now been extended to 7 March 2016.
An international jury of academics, design professionals and press members will award Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron levels of distinction to projects from each of the categories – see the full list of categories.
Founded in 2009, the A' Design Awards aim to recognise and promote international design projects. The A' Design Awards and Competition is the world's leading international annual juried competition for design and A' Design Accolades are organised in a wide range of creative fields to highlight the very best designers from all countries in all disciplines.
Winners will receive a certificate of excellence and a 3D-printed trophy during an exclusive gala that will take place in Como, Italy, in June 2016. Prize winners will also be given incredible media exposure: they will have information about their project converted into over 20 languages and be given help when promoting their work to international media, along with marketing advice.
Projects that have been designed within the last 10 years will be accepted from any country.
All entries to the competition are peer-reviewed and are judged anonymously by an influential panel of experienced academics, prominent press members and established professionals. The A' Design Prize is a coveted and comprehensive winners kit for awarded designs, which includes space in the winners’ exhibition and a digital and hardcopy of the annual yearbook.
Deadline for submission is 7 March 2016, and the winners will be announced on Design Indaba on 15 April 2016. Register your designs today.
