The new Kvadrat showroom in London is the product of an unusual collaboration between acclaimed architect David Adjaye and legendary graphic designer and art director Peter Saville. As a portal into the culture of the company, the two-storey space is marked by a full-spectrum glass balustrade, which emphasises Kvadrat textiles’s relationship with colour. The stairway is also a playful nod from Adjaye to Saville’s iconic record sleeve design for New Order’s Blue Monday. As ongoing communications consultant for the brand, Saville in turn took to accenting the colours throughout the interior.
