Designer Lesley Ullrich uses geometric shapes and symbols in her interesting range of mirror frames.
Ullrich takes the symbol cue from all over Africa where shapes and symbols are used as a kind of code, a way of sharing an identity or a story, she explains.
Inspired by an ancient form of communication, each of the frames designed by Mettlemirrors is crafted by hand from wood, adorned with recycled aluminium patterns and embellished with coloured metal detail.
