Arik Levy's Crystal Rock pendant light resembles a shooting star suspended in mid air.

From the Series

Arik Levy’s latest pendant light resembles a shooting star suspended in mid air.

Artist, designer, photographer and filmmaker Levy has collaborated with leading light manufacturer Lasvit to design a unique, eye-catching pendant light that fuses nature and man, light and refraction, transparency and mass.

The unique characteristics of Crystal Rock are gathered within a perfectly cut, yet roughly sculpted contemporary shade that allows multiple refractions and deflections during the day as well as when lit at night.

Not from the Stone Age but closer to Kryptonite, Crystal Rock appears in the cave of the future, sys Levy.

The pendant light’s LED source highlights the artistic glassmaking process and advanced gluing techniques, gleaming on its inner curved surfaces and defining form on cut facets.

Crystal Rock was unveiled at Lasvit’s showroom during Salone del Mobile 2014 in Milan, Italy.
