Food and shelter are the two most important things to provide for victims of natural disaster. The UNICEF Brick offers a two-in-one solution to this issue.
Inspired by the Lego brick, the UNICEF Brick is a reusable container with two separate compartments, one for holding water and one for holding rice. Once the contents of the UNICEF Brick have been used, this Lego-lookalike can be filled with sand or soil to give it weight, and then used in the construction of temporary shelter.
Designed by Psychic Factory, the UNICEF Brick was concepturalised as such to also reduce the waste packaging that results from emergency aid.
