Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese footwear, Arik Levy has designed a modern and versatile sofa for furniture brand Modus.
The Geta Sofa is elevated by solid oak bases, alluding to geta sandals, which are made from flat planks raised on wooden teeth. The sofa is generously proportioned providing a very comfortable low-seating system with integrated storage space. As it is available in a large range of modules, virtually any composition is possible.
Geta is produced from CMHR foam over a ply- and hardwood frame with an optional solid or veneered oak plinth and storage element. The plinth can be upholstered with a range of contract fabrics and leathers or left a bare oak, with the option of standing legs.
