Robertson chatted to us about her work.
What most excites you about the jewellery industry?
I love the raw materials and natural beauty found in jewellery. It is amazing and inspiring to think that precious materials come from the earth. I love the fashion side of the business too.
Tells us about your inspirations?
My inspiration comes from absolutely everywhere, in everything I see. I normally wake up in the middle of the night with ideas, which are the result of something I've seen during the day.
Talk us through your creative process.
I take a long time with each design, going back and forth over ideas and improving them until I am absolutely happy. When I need a design solution it plays on my mind 24/7 and the answer often comes to me in the middle of the night – it’s very strange!
What are your thoughts on Design Indaba Expo?
I love Design Indaba, chatting to clients, meeting new ones, showing my work to buyers and seeing other designers work too.
