A recently launched air purification system removes pollutants by eliminating them at a molecular level. The first of its kind, Molekule destroys pollutant elements 1000 times smaller than those destroyed by a HEPA filter.

“At Molekule, we set out to tackle a real issue that affects millions. We turned to scientific innovation to find a solution, and feel a moral obligation to take that solution as far as we can,” reads the company’s webpage.

Developed by Dr. Yogi Goswami in response to his son’s health problems, Molekule uses an innovative technology dubbed Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO) to eliminate dust, pollen, and dander, as well as most forms of bacteria, mold, allergens, viruses, and VOCs (airborne chemicals).

Although priced at $800 (Pre-sale cost is $499), the device is out of reach for most people. It does however promise the cleanest air, drastically reducing symptoms in people with allergies.
