Norwegian designer Katrine Austgulen created a series of coffee tumblers for the Norwegian brand Kavalkade.
The graphics on the tumblers represent a historical era, specifically the Gothic age, the Classical age and the Renaissance era. A fourth tumbler is for India, inspired by Hinduism, Islam and the Taj Mahal, Austgulen explains.
A “window” integrated in the tumbler graphic offers one a glimpse into a “secret” space where the Kavalkade window is printed. Incorporating the logo creates a mixed look that combines the old with the contemporary.
