Cross-laminated timber chapel for a church

A first of its kind.

Developed by Nicolas Pople Architects and structural engineer Corbett Tasker - the first ever Cross-laminated timber structure was designed.

“The philosophy of the practice is the conviction that architecture plays a crucial role in both individual and social development and that building with an ecological perspective needs to embrace much larger issues and is not simply a matter of technological fixes. The work the office produces aims to be a manifestation of the understanding that art and technology are of equal importance and are ultimately indivisible.”
