Past Design Indaba Expo exhibitors High Thorn will be taking part in a brand new Expo feature, First Editions at this year’s event,
High Thorn is a Johannesburg-based industrial and product design studio that creates an exclusive range of handcrafted products including twig and driftwood chandeliers, leather chandeliers and pendants, floor lamps, solid jacaranda candle stands as well as beautifully designed coffee tables, all exuding a truly African aesthetic.
This year, at Design Indaba Expo, the studio will be showcasing a giant, awe-inspiring charcoal chandelier. The chandelier has a subtle gradient that starts from a deep charcoal grey shade progessively changing to a light grey.
Each disk used in the construction of the chandelier is hand cut and attached to the structure by hand.
