With a keen eye for detail, Jaime Hayón designed a set of unique vases to celebrate BD Barcelona Design’s 40th birthday.
Working between art and design, Jaime Hayón took inspiration from his Showtime collection to hand paint a series of vases, each revealing a different and authentic design.
Hayón ecorated each of the 40 white porcelain vases with black enamel and incorporated a number from one to 40 into the design to mark the celebration of the Spanish design brand’s birthday.
We wanted to produce a piece to celebrate our 40th anniversary and we thought Jaime was one of the best designers to do a special collection, says BD Barcelona Design founder Jordi Arnau.
Taking into account BD Barcelona Design’s historic collaborations with various renowned designers, Hayón opted for a simple colour scheme to draw attention to the company’s historic roots as well as to ensure the vases stand the test of time.
