Bamboo electric

A bamboo bicycle is souped up with a small motor, resulting in a sustainable alternative to urban mobility.

From the Series

French designer Antoine Fritsch has designed the T20 bike out of bamboo. A small motor is hidden under the footrest and can reach a cruising speed of about 35km/hour. Like a scooter, the T20 uses manual power from the rider to give the bike a push forward to get started.

Details on the bike are made from materials such as cork, steel, aluminium and rubber. A cork structure works as the fusion between the seat and the backrest to ensure rider comfort.
