Andrea Kleinloog of Anatomy Design and fashion designer Tiaan Nagel have combined their different aesthetics to create a strong and unique design store. The cosy but stylish shop in Milpark, Jo'burg, sells an eclectic mix of fashion and interior items, everything from hand-bound linen books to feminine frocks, urban printed T-shirts and the Lab Light, winner of Design Indaba’s Most Beautiful Object in SA 2010.
This collaboration between Anatomy Design and Tiaan Nagel is the result of a long history of working together on various projects. Kleinloog says the inspiration behind the shop was “pure exploration” and the drive to create new products for the design retail market. The duo’s approach is proudly South African, with a particular emphasis on beautiful detailing and quality.
