If ever you needed proof that Design Indaba is the foremost creative event in South Africa, you just need to look at the overwhelming demand for tickets to understand why this is the one event on the creative calendar you don’t want to miss.
With the Design Indaba Simulcast happening in three cities this year, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, more people will be able to experience the magic of Design Indaba than ever before.
And since our northern and eastern neighbours of all ages can watch Design Indaba Conference in their own city for a massively reduced rate, we’ve decided to extend the same privilege to Cape Town-based creative enthusiasts.
For this reason we have decided to open ticket sales to the Young Designers Simulcast in Cape Town to delegates of all ages.
If you’re looking for great value for money, look no further than paying just R1560 (if you’re over the age of 25) to attend a live three-day simulcast of the renowned Design Indaba Conference. Delegates under the age of 25 can still buy tickets for just R1370 for three days of inspiration.
This year we’re welcoming on stage more than 40 design dignitaries, entrepreneurs, innovators and thought-leader over a three-day period. There’s no need to name drop but creative heavyweights like René Redzepi, Aaron Koblin and Chris Milk, Sissel Tolaas, Bjarke Ingels and Hans Ulrich Obrist are just another reason to not miss Design Indaba.
At the discounted rate of only R950, including VAT, Johannesburg delegates of all ages can listen to a live simulcast from the main event in Cape Town. But because sharing is caring, R1600 gets you two under-25 tickets to the Simulcast in Jozi, taking place at the University of Johannesburg’s Arts Centre.
For the first time this year Durban-based creatives of all ages can also experience the Design Indaba Simulcast. A live broadcast of the Design Indaba Conference will be streamed to a venue in Durban. The price of a single ticket is just R950, including VAT. Or take two tickets for just R1600, now that's a creative deal you don't want to miss. The Durban event takes place at the Suncoast Conference Centre.
Design Indaba Conference takes place from 29 February to 2 March at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and will once again bring together a cast of leading creative thinkers from as far as Denmark, as wide as the USA, as diverse as Venezuela and as topical as India.
