From the Series
Once again, Design Indaba Expo ignites debate about what constitutes beauty through the Most Beautiful Object in South Africa competition. This year, we’ve invited 12 editors and cultural commentators including ‘it-girl’ Bonang Matheba, Marie Claire editor Aspasia Karras and Mail & Guardian editor Chris Roper, to nominate an object they consider to be SA’s most beautiful.
The result is a mixed bag of finalists including film, fashion and photography. To get the inside scoop on each of the objects and the reason why it was nominated get your copy of the Sunday Times's Home Weekly supplement every week.
But ultimately you get to vote for the winning object. Vote for your most beautiful object in South Africa, via SMS. Voting lines open on 23 February 2014. Each SMS costs R1.
The designs of all the MBOISA finalists will be on show at Design Indaba Expo, open to the public from Friday 28 February to Sunday 2 March at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The winner will be announced on the afternoon of Sunday 2 March at Design Indaba Expo.
