In a phenomenal North-South partnership, Helsinki Design Week founder and president of World Design Weeks Kari Korkman has invited Design Indaba founder Ravi Naidoo to curate the 2017 edition of the World Design Week Summit in Helsinki, Finland this September. 

The world’s openness drives creativity, we need to form more cross-continental partnerships so that we gain a deeper appreciation of different cultures and practices. 

“South and, East and West – worldwide international collaboration is crucial, not only to the creative fields, but the whole world,” says Korkman. The World Design Weeks organisation aims to promote global understanding and opportunities.
