Africa comes into focus in March with eight of the most popular stories and galleries highlighting design and creativity on the continent.

Here's round-up on the stories that proved popular with readers over the past month. 

Ivorian architect Issa Diabaté's Cocody Bay development, that sees the rehabitiation of a lagoon into a "smart city" captured the attention of the Designindaba.com audience while people also seemed to be interested in the newly launched Better Living Challenge that asks designers how they can incrementally improve the living conditions in informal settlements. 

The breaking news of British designer Thomas Heatherwick's reimagined Grain Silo Project continues to make waves. There was also plenty of visual indulgence in the month of March with galleries on "Africa is Sharp!", "Africa is Urban" and the finalists of the Most Beautiful Object In South Africa that topped readers' favourite list.
