The Design Indaba Expo 2010 ran from Friday 26 February to Sunday 28 February 2010 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Showing more than 280 exhibitors, including 80 first-time exhibitors and 40 Emerging Creatives, the Design Indaba Expo drew well over 32 000 visitors, including 379 journalists and 427 buyers – one third of which were international. A chock-a-block daily programme of additional activities fuelled the buzz. All-day fashion shows, a short-film festival, the new Design Indaba Kids workshops, a suave designer bar, tantalising designer food and daily Pecha Kucha presentations by leading local creatives were just some of the highlights.
