Food edit

Photoshop for your food? The iPlate lets you play around with your food, much like you would play around with pictures in image editing software.

Do you sometimes wish you could manipulate your food portion sizes the way you might fiddle with an image size in Photoshop? Or how about cropping the fat bits off a piece of meat? Or better still, how about making those veggies look like sweets for the kids. In that case, you might even want to doan “Apple Z” after eating that extra piece of cake.

It would be like Photoshop for your food.

French illustrator Todd Borka confesses to spending a lot of time in front of his computer “hacking Photoshop”, which resulted in his iPlate collection of funny plates. The plates let you play around with your food, much like one would play around with images in Photoshop.

Borka explains the reasoning behind this creativity:Who has never dreamed of being able to manage details of one’s own life like we manipulate today images on software like Photoshop? Who has never thought of doing ‘Apple Z’ after breaking a glass? I have created theses series of funny plates following this kind of thoughts. These are winks!”

The iPlates are available in four different versions, namely “Import Food”, “Edit Food”, “Image Size” and “Ctrl Z”. Users of image editing software will instantly recognise the codes and abbreviations used on the plates

An added bonus is that the iPlates are dishwasher safe.
