Belgian photographer MagLau does not identify as a fetishist but concedes that photographers are the real voyeurs. Speaking to Feature Shoot, MagLau explains that with his camera, he aimed to capture not only the exotic nature of fetish parties but also the subtlety and tenderness not associated with the environment.
The photographs he captured are presented without captions, creating the effect that every party he attended, from Europe to Japan, took place on one never-ending loop.
The photographs are compiled in a book titled the Fetish Ballad. It can be found at Library Hors Format in Brussels, Library Le 29 and La Musardine in Paris, or at the Verlag Kettler website.
