Revealing a man of unrelenting sprit and defiance, China’s most famous international artist Ai Weiwei is on a mission to uncover the truths hidden by the Chinese government. Blurring the lines between art and politics, Ai Weiwei expresses himself and organises people through art and social media. First-time director Alison Klayman’s unprecedented access to Weiwei results in this 91-minute documentary: a detailed portrait of one of China’s most compelling figures and an inside story exploring contemporary China.
