Two films by Bruno Wolheim, A Bigger Picture follows David Hockney for three years and Portrait gets under the skin of an artist and sitter.

With unprecedented access, A Bigger Picture follows David Hockney for three years as he returns to England after 25 years in Hollywood and creates the largest picture ever made outdoors. Directed by Bruno Wolheim, the UK Sunday Times described it as “an unqualified life-enhancing joy from start to finish”. Another of Wolheim’s films, Portrait shows the making of an official portrait. As the painting progresses, a curious psychodrama develops that reveals the vulnerabilities and vanities of both artist and sitter. Running time: 60+25 minutes
