We spend about a third of our lives asleep. So it's little wonder that designers turn their attention to products that perfect the art of catching a few zzzz's. We round up five designs from our archive that will have you sleeping like a log.

A comfy cocoon

What do you get when you cross a chair with a sleeping bag? The Cocoon armchair designed by LES M of course! Read more about it here.

A fabulous futon

The Sleepy Chair is another hybrid design, this time by Daisuke Motogi that redefines curling up on the couch for a nap. Check it out here.

A sleeping bag with a difference

The Street Sleeper made from recycled billboards gives rough sleepers some protection from the elements. Learn more about this project here.

A multi-purpose nap pod

Sleeping on the job? Matali Crasset's Deep Attention and Sleep for Campeggi doubles up as a discreet workstation and a nap pod. See why this designer thinks we need some quiet time here.

A bed of boxes

Leaf Supply's modular cardboard bed was designed for emergency situations. What is great is the design is flexible enough to be used as a stool or table as well. Read more about the design here.
